The Story
Masking explores the instinct to hide when danger is near.
A cat quietly blends into its surroundings, becoming almost invisible against the textured, snow-inspired surface. What first appears to be a beautiful ceramic vase reveals a deeper story about camouflage, awareness, and self-protection.
The hidden cat becomes a metaphor for the things we may not immediately notice—a reminder that not everything is as it first appears.
Stay aware. Look beyond what you see.

Artist's Note
Artist's Note
I wanted to create a piece where the story is not immediately revealed.
The cat is intentionally integrated into the surrounding texture, representing the instinct to blend in and protect oneself. Its hidden presence invites the viewer to look more carefully and discover something that was there all along.
For me, Masking is about awareness—not fear. Sometimes protection begins simply by paying attention.
